Like other sharks, their numbers are dwindling due to overzealous fishing practices. The coho salmon rears for part of its life in the Pacific Ocean and spawns in freshwater streams. The Tropical Two-wing Flying Fish occurs from off northeast Florida to off southern Brazil. In a beach town called Venice found off Florida’s coast, there is an annual event called the Venice Shark Tooth Festival. The attacks are often associated with an abundance of the sharks’ normal food, and the shark, usually a small one, slashes out and bites a human.

Some feel that the irridescent shark should be given more carnivorous type rations as juveniles and to mix more greens into their diet as the get bigger. Flying birds have hollow bones while marine birds, like penguins, have dense bones to allow for submersion. In Oregon, warmouth are present in a few coastal lakes and widely distributed in the Columbia basin, but are not commonly caught by anglers. An average adult specimen will measure around 3.2 m (10 ft) in length and weigh from 60–135 kg (130–300 lb). Age:Miocene or Pliocene ~ 18-15 or 2.5 m.y.
